The Orange County Fire Chiefs Association, in partnership with the Orange County Fire Services Association, invites you to join us for our annual tribute at the Firefighter Monument in Irvine Regional Park. Each year, we gather to honor the courage, selflessness, and dedication of the brothers and sisters we have lost since October of the previous year.

This ceremony is more than a date on the calendar; it is a sacred commitment to ensure that the sacrifices made by our firefighters, and the inherent risks they face daily, are never forgotten.

The Ceremony of Remembrance

The memorial service is a powerful display of unity and solidarity within the firefighting community, connecting generations of fire service professionals through a shared mission of public safety. The proceedings include:

The Reading of the Names: A formal roll call of our fallen colleagues.

The "Last Alarm": A traditional bell-ringing ceremony symbolizing a firefighter’s end of watch and final call.

The Honor Guard: Dressed in full formal uniform, the Honor Guard maintains a dignified watch and performs the ceremonial folding of the flag.

Bagpipes & Taps: The somber traditions of the pipes and drums provide a powerful, emotional tribute to those who served.

Words of Reflection: Keynotes from fire chiefs commemorate the service of the departed.
